Question about credit check!

I am on pre-paid service with Fido because my credit is less than stellar.  Recently my friend gave me her iphone4 as she is intending on getting a new one.  If I go to fido and ask for monthly bills without a contract, will I need a credit-check? Or has anybody know what to do in these situations?

anything that is not prepaid will require a credit check, regardless if its month to month, or under an agreement term.

if your credit is bad, you can always ask about a Credit limit
