I went to a Fido store today to up a new account and port my number from Virgin to Fido. I texted yes in response to the text to authorize the port and it's been over 2.5 hours now (3 hours to be exact) and no confirmation that it was successful. my phone has also gone into SOS mode and despite several attempts to restart my phone it still says SOS. Has anyone else experienced this/has a solution?

The SOS is it for the Fido or Virgin line? If you try calling the number you had with Virgin what happens?
If something went wrong with the porting process it would be best to contact Fido customer service directly and they can look into your account and better advise what happened and what needs to be done.
