Was this for a brand new activation or a handset upgrade?
Did you get a confirmation email after the transaction? If yes, did it display a credit on the monthly plan?
Just to clarify, the plan itself will always show $50, but you should have a discount added to the line to reduce it to $40/month if that's the promotion you benefited from.
You will also see the discount on your monthly bill.
