My fiance lives in the US and I live in BC. Before COVID-19, we were constantly switching weekends back and forth to visit one another. Currently, Fido does not offer a plan that includes the cost of Data Roam; instead, it is at an additional cost daily ($7/day until you hit the cap then it's free).
I would gladly pay for a plan that could include the cost of Data Roam between the US and Canada, i.e. you can use your data freely in the US and pay your standard rate, so the data usage in the US wouldn't be at an extra cost. In the US, my fiance's provider is Google Fi, so he has zero extra costs to use his data ANYWHERE in the world with UNLIMITED data, all for $50 monthly! That is simply amazing, but I know farfetched in Canada, due to the bureaucracy of mobile providers here.
At the very least, I would love if Fido could please make a comprehensive Canada/US plan where you can use your data freely and you don't to pay an extra daily charge.
