I have cancled my account - I want to reopen it, is that possible?

Hi,

As the subject line states I closed my account back in april 2020 - I was wondering if I could open the same account online with the same phone number that was associated with the account - Simply put I need access to my SMS again so I can secure my microsoft email. I still have the same sim card and everything, if that's important.

Welcome to the community!

While you can open the account with Fido the phone number would most likely be recycled and someone else could be using the number now.

Also, if the number you had did not belong to Fido when you cancel the line the phone number would be returned to the original carrier. You can use this site here to see which carrier owns the number.

If the numb belongs to Fido and it is available then for sure you can get it back but, if it is assigned to someone else then you will not be able to get it.
