If you cancel your account and you have a credit on your final invoice Fido will refund that amount via cheque after your final invoice has been produced, they will send it to the address on file it usually takes 3 weeks but sometimes can take 6 weeks before it gets to you. If you pay your bill using a credit card you can call customer service and ask them to have the money refunded back to the credit card but you will need to do it before the cheque has been issued.
If your line is still active and your account has a credit then you do not need to worry about a refund the credit will just be applied to your next invoice.
