Changing Name

Hi All,

I recently purchased a new phone and am going to give my old one to my Son, the phone will still be in my name, but I was wondering if it was possible to show up in his name on the Caller ID when you call someone instead of it being my name? If so, how would I be able to change it?

Just to clear up some confusion, the phones are not tied to your name or account, only your SIM card is.

When you give your old Phone to your son, you are giving him your old phone only, you still keep the SIM card and put it in your new phone, this is what determines what your number calls from.

Your Son simply has to insert his own SIM card into your old phone and his number now becomes tied to it. When he calls out, HIS number is what is shown up on the caller ID, not yours.  Hope this clears up any confusion.

Note: phones from companies that use CDMA technology, have the phone tied to the number since they do not contain SIM cards.  Hope this helps.
