Android updates for unlocked phone

If I am using an unlocked Android phone bought from another carrier how would I receive OTA updates(when available).  Would I be on the carrier that I bought the phone from's schedule or would I be on Fido's release schedule?

You will be on the phone's original carriers schedule unless you have a Google Nexus or Pixel phone then it's directly from Google.
