Resolved: Agent failed to cancel my home internet

Resolved: Ali from Rogers in Moncton was able to confirm my cancellation and check on the status and updated me.


Called Fido support a day prior and was connected to someone that was able to cancel my home internet. After being bombarded with questions and promotion offers, of which I refused, the person continued to refuse in cancelling my internet. I told them I only called to cancel and that I had no other interests. Puts me on hold for about 6 minutes and says the wifi is cancelled and tries to upsell my phone plan. I refuse and they inform me that a confirmation email as well as survey has been sent. I come to find out my home internet service is still not cancelled. Have already contacted the financial consumer agency and will be going into a physical store to cancel my internet tomorrow. 

just wanted to post this as I understand that others have faced this issue in the past and current customers should be fairly warned about  potential issues such as this one.
