I signed up with the Fido Home Internet 75mbps this week and I'm noticing my ping while gaming online randomly shoots up. Sometimes its stable, but it does often go up to 400ms. If I have anything else going (netflix) it will sit around 1, 000ms. Is there a reason for this? I'd assume 75mbps internet would be good enough to handle playing games and watching netflix.
I also notice that web pages can take a long time to load. Even Google can take up to 45 seconds to load.

That doesn't sound right indeed! 75mbps should be more than enough for both playing games and watching Netflix at the same time, and your internet definitely shouldn't take that long to load at all (especially not Google).
I assume you tried to reboot your modem already, did you? Also, did you do a speed test and if you did, what was the result?
