If you can't get your cellphone to connect to a WiFi network use this idea. It may take a few tries but it works for me.
I set the phone on airplane mode and then power down. Wait a few minutes and then turn phone back on. Switch the WiFi on and airplane mode off. It should get the WiFi to kick in and connect. I have had to do this lately because I live in an apartment building the has concrete walls, floors, and ceilings.
