There are a couple of shortcuts that you can use on your phone. The first one is just typing and name in the search of who you want to call instead of scrolling through all your contacts. The second is making an actual shortcut. If for instance you have a long email like mine you may want to create a shortcut of two letters that aren't a word and use that as a default to your email address. The third is that people always forget the scroll up from the bottom where a bunch of shortcuts are kept like your calculator so you dont need to search for it in all your apps.
