Block by going to settings, messages, turn on spam filter, add the nuisance texter's number.
Their texts will not bother you, but if you do want to see if they are still texting or see thier messages, go to where you read your text messages, and tfrom the 3-dot menu on the top right corner pick spam messages, and their texts will be there.
