How long does it take to switch my sim card number to my new phone?

I went to the "Change SIM Card" page, I put in the old SIM card number, and the new one, it said "Done".  But nothing has switched, now both of my phones are not working, there is no service in either of them, the old and new.  The old one says "emergency calls only" and the new one says "Unregistered SIM".  I received it in the mail and did it myself, did I do something wrong?  Or does it take a while?

EDIT: Nevermind, it's working now, I turned off my phone, and took out the sim card and put it back and turned it back on, it's on the Fido network now

I'm glad you got it working, anytime you are updating your SIM card and you already put the new SIM in the phone it will required a reboot in order for it to complete the registration on the network.
