New customer, phone delayed need esim voucher

So I'm a new customer with Fido and my phone has been delayed. I contacted customer service and they told me they activated my account today and being charged for it. However, I have no access to service. I do have a phone I just cleared to install an esim card but there's no voucher for me to get the code and set up my service. I'm sitting waiting on technical support for the last 2 hours and still have four positions to go. I thought maybe I could try here if somebody has a quick solution on how I can set up my new number with no voucher for any SIM card.  Thanks for your help. If you can help.

Just for your information, I activated a brand new account with a new device. I did this online. Fido opted to set up an esim card instead of a physical card. I cannot get a text message as it says to in the guidelines for setting up a new device.

Hi Lucy, thank you for your response. I have downloaded the app but I don't have an OCR code or esim voucher to activate the account. I sat on hold for about 3 and 1/2 hours and it seemed The lineup just plateaued as I didn't move from the fourth spot for over an hour. Good news is my device has been mailed out and should be here on Monday. I'm kind of annoyed that I'm being charged for an account that I have no access to. This was more of a concern thinking that my phone would take over a month to get here.  I'm feeling transitioning companies was a mistake. Hopefully this is just a minor issue and services will get better. 

Hi @Stumlingjoey , did you download and install the fido app? You can order and load your esim using the app. When I switched to esim it was almost immediate.
