The new Fido modem ( Rogers used ) is pathetic

Been with Fido since 2015 and never had complained about their network or connection.

Recently I moved and upgraded my package to 150 Mbps for home Internet. They gave me Rogers black used modem which doesn't connect to adjucent rooms.

 

I might need to switch finally to new provider after 5 years.

We really wouldn't want to see you go! Did you get a chance to contact Technical Support at 1-888-236-FIDO (3436) to look into it with you? If you did, what exactly did they say?

When you say "Rogers black used modem" do you mean the Hitron CGN3? Which model in particular.  What is your firmware version?

Do you mean "connect to adjucent rooms" you mean that the wifi signal strength is poor?  If so, how far does your signal reach?  Which bands (2.5 or 5GHz)?
