My (non-Fido) Mi 8 phone (on a BYOP plan), purchased and shipped from China works fine with WiFi calls.. so I don't think it is an issue with Fido blocking the service. Perhaps a setting in the phone itself?

Found a link and a person who created an app to fix this issue, and I now have 4G! I removed my SIM, sideloaded the APK for the app, created a new APN, put my SIM back in, went ito the APN settings and chose my new APN and voila... 4G! In case anyone...

I reset the network settings a few minutes ago, for the first time and unfortunately it didn't change the APN.. it's the same as above. I reset again and rebooted my phone but no change with that either.
