Fido

Hi, I am new to Fido Internet. I want ot know how to disable the wifi on the modem. I can login to the modem. but it looks like everything is READ ONLY. Also my modem software is v7.1.1.33. Is this the latest? do I need to ask Fido to upgrade?  TIA
