Hello,

I am trying to find out what my SMS address is so I can recieve text message notifications from a company I deal with.

They give the following example:
"if your mobile phone number is 555-123-4567 and your mobile service provider is AT&T, your SMS address would be 5551234567@txt.att.net."

anyone know what Fido's SMS address would be?

Thanks for your help

Hello Interstellar987,

  Welcome to the community!

What you are noting are two slightly different things. In order to receive a text message (SMS or MMS), all the company would need is your phone number. A phone number would technically be the address for receiving text messages. On the other hand, what you note in the example is a different service -- email-to-text or email-to-SMS. That service allowed people to send emails to someone's phone number and the recipient would receive the email as a text message. Fido used to offer the ability to send email to <phonenumber>@fido.ca. Unfortunately, I don't believe that service is available anymore (see here and here).

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
