FidoTRADE™ allows new and existing postpaid customers to trade in any used phone or tablet and get a rebate for its value. They can use it to reduce the cost of a phone or accessories when activating a line or upgrading to a new phone with or without a 2 year financing term.

Here’s how:

On Fido.ca

  1. Get a quote for the value of your device and trade it by visiting onlinefidotradequote.com.
  2. To trade in a device, either visit a local Fido store or log in to your Fido account and click on Repair, trade or device protection request.
  3. We’ll send you a prepaid return waybill. You can use it to send in your device at no cost; device must be sent within 30 days.
  4. You’ll receive an email once we receive your device and another once processed.
  5. If the trade is accepted, the value will appear as a bill credit on your Fido account within three billing cycles.

In Store

We will apply the credit towards the purchase price of your new phone. If the phone costs less than the value of the trade, you can use the rest of the credit towards accessories. We will apply the credit immediately in store (you will not receive an invoice credit).

Before you trade-in your phone

  • Back up your stuff - Save your photos, apps and contacts.
  • Reset your phone and remove any account locks – Remove personal data by doing a factory reset.
  • Save your memory card! - Remove any memory cards from your old phone.

Important

  • Recent models with a functioning, non-cracked screen (dark spots or blemishes free) get the best trade-in value.
  • As part of the inspection process, your device will be data cleared. Any device that cannot be 100% data cleared will be destroyed and have no trade-in value.
  • All completed trades are final. If you decide to return the new device you bought, you won’t get the old device back nor will you be refunded the trade value.
