Clear Cache & Cookies in your internet browser

Hey Community! 

 

Sometimes it may be necessary to clear your browser’s cache and cookies to troubleshoot issues with website login or pages displaying incorrectly. Click on the browser you are using below for instructions on how to do this.

 

Chrome on Computers

Tip: You can try accessing the site in an incognito window (CTRL + SHIFT + N to open) to see if the issue you are experiencing happens there before attempting these steps. This “private browsing “ mode will not use your existing cookies and cached website information.

If you need to clear your cache & cookies, use the following steps:

  1. In Chrome, at the top right, click More( Chrome - More.png )
  2. Click More tools and then Clear browsing data.
  3. In the box that appears, at the top, choose a time, like the past hour or the past day. The beginning of time is the quickest option since it will remove all cached data and cookies, but if you want to start by trying the options to remove only the most recent cached data and cookies to see if this resolves your issue you can.
  4. Ensure Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data are checked. All other options can be left unchecked.

  5. Click Clear browsing data.

Chrome on Android

  1. In the Chrome app browser toolbar, tap More ( Chrome - More.png ).
  2. Tap History, and then tap Clear browsing data.
  3. Under "Clear browsing data," select the checkboxes for Cookies and site data and Cached images and files.
  4. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Choose beginning of time to delete everything.
  5. Tap Clear browsing data.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button Firefox - Menu.png and choose Options.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now.
  4. Close the about: preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Microsoft Edge

  1. To view your browsing history, select Hub Edge - Hub.png  > History Edge - History.png .
  2. Select Clear all history.
  3. Ensure that Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files are checked (all other options can be left unchecked if you like) then select Clear.
  4. If you use Cortana and want to clear browsing history that's stored in the cloud, select Change what Microsoft Edge knows about me in the cloud, then select Clear browsing history.

Internet Explorer 11

  1. In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button Explorer - Tools.png, point to Safety, and then select Delete browsing history.
  2. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data
  3. Check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.
  4. You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.

Safari for macOS

  1. In the menu bar, click History > Clear History and Website Data.
  2. In the popup that appears, choose the range of data you want to remove from the Clear dropdown menu. All History is quickest option since it will remove all cached data and cookies, but if you want to start by trying the options to remove only the most recent cached data and cookies to see if this resolves your issue you can.
  3. Click Clear History.

Safari for iOS

To clear your cache & cookies but keep your browsing history, use the following steps:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.

To delete all browsing data – including your browsing history – use these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap Safari > Clear History and Website Data
