Hi so my 3 year contract with Fido just ended ( iPhone 5 ). I signed a new 2 year contract for the new iPhone 6s ( still with Fido ) and I want to keep my old number. So when I got the phone the guy took the old SIM card on my iPhone 5 and put it in my new iPhone to activate it, ... everything went well. So when I got home I restored my iPhone 5 to give it to my sibling ( he will just use it as an iPod ) but I didn't know that this iPhone needs a SIM card to activate it to work. So my question is can I take the SIM on my iPhone 6s now put it into the iPhone 5 to activate it and then put it back to my iPhone 6s ? Everything's still gonna work later ?

Hey KhangNghi!

You can definitely put your SIM card back in your iPhone 5 to activate it and then put your SIM card back in your iPhone 6s to use your service.

Everything would still work. The phone just needs to have a SIM card in it to complete the activation. Smiley

Hope this helps!
