Is the phone you brought compatible?

Hey everyone,

Bring your own phone or plan on bringing one? That’s cool. It just needs to be compatible with the Fido network, which uses GSM, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ at 850 MHz and 1900 MHz.

To access LTE, the device must be compatible with one or more of the following:

  • 700 MHz on Band 17;
  • 1700/2100 MHz on Band 4;
  • 2600 MHz on Band 7.

If you’re not sure of how to check the frequencies your device supports, check out the manufacturer’s website and search for your specific model.

Your device doesn’t need to be compatible with all of the bands/frequencies, but the more the merrier. This is because not all of the network towers support each and every band/frequency.

Device is good to go? Click here for Fido’s Internet and MMS APN settings.
