ID for phone upgrade

Regarding obtaining a new phone with Fido for international students. If our study permit is expiring soon and we applied for an extension, yet we also do not possess a BCID. 

How can we provide the documents necessary to purchase a new phone with a Fido plan? 

Does implied status work? passport? or any other identification?

  That said, as far as I am aware, the acceptable forms of identification can be found here and here. 

  Unfortunately, we would not be in any position to assert whether an expiring study permit would be acceptable. If you would like to discuss your particular situation, you would need to contact customer service.
