I got a new phone and a new plan

Hi so I got a new phone with new plan and the new phone will be coming with an eSIM. I still have my current plan and sim, do I have to cancel it or will it just disconnect? How does that work?

Hello @lkatuwal,

 

If you change your plan, then the new plan will take effect right away and will continue to work with the current SIM. Unless the plan change was set to take effect on your new billing cycle, it will change then, and it will continue to work with the current SIM. 

 

When you receive the eSIM you can switch to it from MY ACCOUNT on fido.ca, click on the number, you then on the next page, under QUICK ACTIONS you will see Manage SIM, click on that and follow the instructions.

 

If you do not wish to switch to the new SIM, you can just continue using the SIM you are currently using.
