I have spent close to 5 hours between being on hold and finally talking with a tech to make my new 5G modem for my home phone work. No luck
I am so frustrated trying to contract customer service. I'm starting to wonder if Fido is wort it anymore. Customer service used to be outstanding and quick. Not anymore.

Sorry to hear you've been having issues with your new modem. However, could you please clarify whether you are referring to the 5G cellular network or 5GHz Wifi frequency?
If you are referring to the former, I do not believe Fido offers 5G cellular services (see here). Is it possible you are referring to 5G Home Internet? As far as I am aware, those options are provided by Rogers (see here).
In addition, you referred to your home phone. Are you referring to a home phone adapter? Which adapter are you trying to use? As far as I am aware, the likely replacement adapter for home phone would be the ZTE WF723. I do not believe that adapter is 5G capable.
On the other hand, if you are referring to 5GHz Wifi, I don't believe Fido offers Home Internet anymore. Again, those services would be offered by Rogers.
While I understand you have already attempted to contact customer service, you should note the forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. If you wished to discuss your matter, you would need to contact customer service.
