transfer of responsibility

Both my friend and I have our own Fido accounts and she's thinking of transferring her number to my account. Will her number still have the same tenure as she does right now even after her number moves to my account? Thanks

Welcome to the community Smiley

 

If you transfer a line on your account, it'll show as a new line on the account.  However, we will be able to see it was transferred from another account and that it was not a new activation.

 

Also, there is a $35 fee to complete a transfer of responsibility.

thanks for the info! So does that mean the transferred number will be able to sign a 2 year agreement right after it moves to the new account?

To answer your question, yes, the transfered phone # will be able to do a hardware upgrade right after the move with the normal eligibility requirements.
