Hello Kojoyorrick1,

  Welcome to the community!

  If you're still having issues with your phone, it's possible it doesn't actually have adequate compatible bands/frequencies. While the official Ghana Tecno website does not list the band/frequency specifications, this website selling the phone in Ghana cedi suggests these band/frequency specifications:

2G Network
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G Network
HSDPA 900 / 2100
4G Network
LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 8(900), 40(2300), 41(2500)

  According to those specifications, that phone has both of the compatible bands/frequencies for 2G and no compatible bands/frequencies for '3G' or LTE. You can verify the compatible bands/frequencies here. If these specifications for your phone are indeed correct, you should note that Rogers intends to decommission the GSM network by December 31st, 2020 (see here).

Hope this helps Smiley

Cheers

Hello @Kojoyorrick1 ,

Welcome to the community!

Your device must be compatible with the Fido network, which uses GSM, UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ at 850 MHz and 1900 MHz. To access LTE network, the phone must be compatible with:

  • 700 MHz on Band 17;
  • 1700/2100 MHz on Band 4;
  • 2600 MHz on Band 7.

From what I can see your phone specs are

2G bandsGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G bandsHSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
4G bandsLTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 28(700), 40(2300), 41(2500)

Your phone is just missing LTE band 17, so while you might have issues with LTE you should be able to make and receive calls and send text.

You also need to make sure your phone is unlocked and you have the correct APN settings, you can find that here.
