Wireless Network Outage 6/25

So I was in the middle of texting someone and my phone turned off on me. Annoying... turn it back on and it now has a message saying "SIM 1 not allowed" on the lock screen. I'm unable to connect to Fido at this point, I can only use WiFi. 

 

How do I fix this?? I need my phone for work... which I'm at right now... 

 

I've tried restarting the phone, toggling airplane mode on/off, turning Fido network on/off, and it continues to say "No connection". I removed the SIM and put it back in and does nothing. I go through the settings and turn off Automatically select network, but nothing else comes up.

 

 

Suggestions? I've arranged a callback on another phone but that's not for several hours from now. Hoping I can maybe find a way to do this on my own.

 

Phone is a Pixel Pro 7

I was told to put on flight mode. It should work now because the outage is over.

So the news reports and hour ago that the issue has been resolved. Checked my phone and still have the SIM card not allowed message. Turned airplane mode on for 10 seconds, turned it off. Problem seems to be resolved....... until next time...

Hi there,

I made a phone call earlier this morning and then I was unable to make a text message. I realized my wireless network was not working and on my Samsung Galaxy A8 it said "Unaccessed Sim" 

 

I went to the Fido booth, and one of their reps told me to put on flight mode then it worked. He also said Fido had an outage today too. 

 

Man, do I hate outages!

Same here. SIM card suddenly not recognized. When I check my accoun, it says that I declared my phone lost/stolen, yet I didn't do that. When I clcik on reactivate, I end up on an unexpected error/try later! Impossible to contact Fido via chat or using another phone. Only robots on the other end that are totally useless!!!

My experience today.

 

I just wanted to know if my phone was broken or actually the network.  Swapped Sim into alternate phone and still no network...ok so it's Fido, not me.  I tried their agent support and it said they don't provide support that way any more so "call this number for support"......

 

ummm? ok.

I am having the same issue. My phone dropped at 11:40 while in the middle of an imprortant client call. I am an oncall worker (providing emergency services -Midwife) so this outage is very distressing as my clients will have no way to reach me in an emergency. I know other people who have Fido services and are also in SOS mode.

Something went wrong with my service today – my mobile network suddenly disappeared without any notice or explanation. I’ve tried using the chat support to get help, but unfortunately, it hasn't been helpful at all. I still have no service and no updates.

Is there any ongoing outage? Can someone from the support team please look into this or let me know what’s going on?

Lost service while going for a walk during lunch at the office.  Tried calling customer support, but the message said higher call volume than usual and then it terminated the call.

Just transported two cell numbers this morning and now have no phone or text

I am in the same boat. I removed and reinstalled my SIM card but no change.

I restarted, removed and reinstalled the SIM, change the APN settings, reset the network settings, all in vain.

I'm experiencing the same problem since about half an hour ago. Pixel 8A. Is this an outage?
