Hello Fido Support,
I'm writing to request assistance regarding charges to my account during a period when the service was not actively used.
For several months, I continued making payments without realizing that the SIM card was not even inserted in my mom's phone. Initially, the phone was left in standby mode, and we were under the impression that the account was still on a minimal or paused plan. Unfortunately, we didn't notice that it had reverted to a regular payment plan and continued charging as normal.
Since the SIM was not in use, no calls, texts, or data. I’m hoping to explore the possibility of a refund or credit for those months.
Could you please advise on the appropriate next steps? I can provide account details via private message or another secure channel.

You should note this community forum is not a method of customer service; it is meant for customers like me to help each other.
Since Fido no longer offer pre-paid, it's safe to say the plan you have is a post-paid plan you would still be responsible to make the monthly payments regardless if you use it or not, if you had a temporary suspension on the line and that has ended you will go back to your normal monthly billing.
From what you have stated, customer service would not refund you the charges as it's valid.
