Unable to get in touch with a specialist via live chat

The chatbot keeps saying that specialists are no longer available despte asking elaborate questions on what type/which area we want to connect with specialist on. I want to close my account and I can't afford to call from abroad as I am no longe in Canada. I don't wish to go through setting up random software for the purpose of toll-free calling. I need a simple, convineint, effective way to close my account either via logging in to my account, contact via live chat or through email. 

This seems like dark pattern that results into delaying account closure.

Is that a toll free number reachable via Skype? 

Does that mean this can't be done via Live Chat or email or by logging into my account here?

That number needs to be dialed from your Fido device for it to be toll free.

 

You can also try live chat and explain your situation and they might be able to do an exception. We do not offer support over email.
