If you are travelling to the US, Fido had recently introduced a 30 day Travel Pass in the US (see here). You can get the Travel Pass via your My Account --> View Usage & Manage --> Browse add-ons.
As far as I am aware, the only other options would be Fido Roam (daily fee) or pay-per-use services. Fido Roam is automatically enabled on Data, Talk & Text and Talk & Text plans. If you did not wish to use the feature, you would need to opt-out of Fido Roam. In doing so, your usage would be on a pay-per-use basis. You can view those rates in the link above.
