In Jan 2025 I realized after checking my credit report that an unknown Fido account was added under my name which was outstanding payment and was affecting my credit. Upon digging in detail I got to know it belonged to someone else I got in contact with Fido and Trasnunion to get it resolved. It took them 2 months to solve this issue. All of sudden today I am getting call from Met collection company informing me that I owe Fido more than $1000 if I don't pay this amount within a day they will report it to credit bureau. I told them the past story of mistaken account under my name they suggested me to get in touch with Fido. Fido just created a ticket to which it will take another 30 days because it is their procedure. After that another 30 days to get my credit score settle which is more than 2 months. I had it enough wasting my time half of the year solving this issue which isn't mine. They have a process to follow when it comes to resolve customers issue but they don't have a process when they are reporting wrong information under wrong person's profile. They don't even realized that they don't have good system.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we're truly sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you've experienced.
Once we send the correction request to the credit bureau, they typically process it quickly. However, the item may remain on your credit file until it meets the bureau's own criteria of removal. If it's been longer than expected, we recommend contacting them directly.
Also, if the Fido account under your name is still in our file and you are still disputing the ownership, an extra investigation on our end might extend the delay.
Please reach out to us if you have further questions or concerns.
