I just bought a second line number yesterday and it on the track now. However, I found it unnecessary this time. So how can I cancel it right now to prevent extra billing?

You would need to contact customer service, and they would be able to cancel the line. If you listen to the options and choose cancel, you might get connected with someone; otherwise, you would need to schedule a call back.
