I called today once more to confirm both if 3G migration line is open on weekends and what the hours are tonight.
I was told they are open on weekends, and that they are open until 10 pm eastern tonight.
This is the 3rd or 4th agent telling me 10 pm eastern.
Every time I call late but before 10 pm eastern, the lines are closed.
I tried just now at 7:10 pm my time, which is 9:10 pm eastern.
The call lines are closed.
I specifically planned to call with plenty of time before 10 pm eastern.
Very unprofessional to tell customers wrong info.
Sure hope they really are open tomorrow else I will be dinged a $75 fee for not taking care of my 3G migration before the deadline.
I guess on weekdays I need to call before 7 pm my time, meaning before 9 pm eastern.
However, the agents kept telling me 10 pm eastern.
Kind of maddening when I specifically asked each agent to confirm if 10 pm eastern really is the closing time for these call agents since every time I try calling shortly before that time they already are closed.
Surely calling at 9:10 pm eastern is not too late if they really are open until 10 pm?
Of course there is no chat service either.
One agent suggested I consider as well mobile service through Rogers, but that's a definite no given that I have my Shaw Internet through Rogers together with Shaw, and trying to reach a Rogers customer service rep is takes such a long time, with such long queues. At least with Fido when I call in the afternoon I am able to get to an agent within 5 minutes.
To me customer service is very important and is why I do so much business with Amazon. There I can reach an agent quickly 24/7 to resolve any issues I have.

Had another 2 agents tell me 10 pm eastern. Again called just after 9 pm eastern... call lines closed. Only one told me I need to call before 9 pm eastern, which is what I've found I have to do. Anyway, one agent said closed Sundays and one said open tomorrow, so we'll see.
Besides that, I'm impressed I can speak with agents quickly when I call during business hours. Also the agents are pretty good. No complaints there.

So... the phone lines definitely close at 9 pm eastern but all the agents seem to think it's 10 pm eastern. If I call 1 minute after 9 pm eastern they're closed, every time. This is regarding 3G migration. I'll take care of it tomorrow. As I say, at least I can usually reach an agent quite quickly if I call during the afternoon. With Shaw-Rogers, there is a queue of 100 people ahead of me, literally, when I want to speak with someone, and my Shaw-Rogers Internet service is very expensive too.
