Extras in unlimited text messaging

Hi,

 

Does anybody know what "Extras" means in my unlimited text messaging plan? Thanks.

There's a few more reasons that could explain messages, being included in the "Extra" section. 

 

This could also include: 

- messages sent while roaming outside of the Fido network

- messages related to FidoRoam, or PPU charges while roaming

- Third Party services (short codes, etc.) 

 

The details will be listed on the bill once it's printed, that's for sure!

It could be that you sent text messages to a home phone.

Do you know if I will be charged for that? How do we know if a number is a landline?

If it is that then yes you will be charged I believe its 25cents for each text.

 

There is no way of telling if a number is a cell or land line its up to you to find out from the person you are contacting.

I'll have to call CS to discuss with them. It's my daughter's line and she just got the phone over a week ago and was so excited to try it, and I did not know about the no-landline texting policy to warn her. Many thanks.

Hi also have charges somethimes related to text home line. Is there a way to remove this option from my account?

You can block the text-to-home feature by sending an Email to support@telemessage.com

 

Indicate which landline number to block from receiving Text to Home messages.Text messages to this number will be blocked within 2 business days.

Or

Indicate that you wish to block all Text to Home messages from your Fido phone number.

All Text to Home messages will be blocked within 2 business days.
