Extra charge for calling Fido from international location

I'm back
Hello,
I return to my country because of a family emergency.  I went to the fido store to close my account .The fido sales representative told me that I need to call customer service but I told him I am going to take a flight back home the same night I went to the fido store then he told me I can call this international phone number for free . I asked him Are you sure because I do not pay extra fees he told me that yes it is totally free. For this reason I called a number from Turkey.

And I had to call multiple times because your customer service failed to answer my calls and when they answered failed to call me back multiple times.  As you can see this took a few days and finally I cancelled my account. After I cancelled my account, Fido sent me an extra bill of $112.23 .

So why do I pay extra fees while your sales representative assured me that this phone number is totally free and why is that now is my problem that you can not cancel my account in one phone call and made me to call you multiple times to finalize matters as you can see it is not my fault But your company fault.

Hi @caganmert , I'm sorry that happened to you. Did you by chance call from your mobile phone? That could be the reason, but only a Fido customer service representative can answer that question. Here  are the various ways to reach out. I personally prefer sending a dm to fidosolutions on Twitter. I hope you get a resolution
