Can you check out the plan of **********? I have decreased my plan in the beginning of 2025 as I am located in Europe at this time. before decreasing my plan, I was able to do transactions on my bank account. I asked one of your colleague to decrease the plan as much as possible. My only requirement was to be able to receive verification codes to operate my bank account. Unfortunately it does not work. Can you fix that, please? I can schedule a callback, does it going to work from Europe? We can use Whatsapp or whatever. Thank you, Jan

I understand you had changed your plan to decrease it as much as possible while being able to receive verification codes. However, had you specified that you needed to receive those codes while abroad? Fido's Basic plans would have allowed to you receive those verifcation codes while in Canada. Unfortunately, though, I don't believe those plans do not allow for roaming. If you have a Basic plan, that could explain why you are not able to use services abroad (including receiving SMS).
If you would like to go over your options, you would need to contact customer service. I understand you are currently outside of Canada. They do provide a number to call From Abroad. Calling that number from overseas would not incur roaming charges when called from your Fido SIM (see here). That said, if you do have a Basic plan, you would likely not be able to use your Fido SIM to call them. Alternatively, customers should also be able to call that number collect from a landline. Unfortunately, they do not offer customer service through email or WhatsApp. In addition, they also appear to have removed their customer service via social media options.
