Changing plans mid-billing cycle with no change in monthly cost?

I just switched from 4GB/$50 to 8GB/$50 on my Fido Plan (BYOD, so no contract or anything). I understand that the charges for the month I switch on would be calculated on a prorated basis. Since both my plans were for the same amount, I should expect that my bill this month would be for the same amount, right?

(To be clear, yes, there were no paid add-ons on either plan, and the amount came to be $56.50 after GST.

Hi @aryamans,

Theoretically, you would think it should be the same amount at the end of your billing cycle but what I have noticed what Fido does is let's say your billing cycle is the 26th of the months and you change your plan on the 15th, you will be billed from the 27th to15th for the old plan and from the 15th to the 26th for the new plan.

On the 15th you end up paying for the old and new plan they do the samething when you change your phone number.
