Cancelling a Payment

I'm having money issues and I contacted Fido and made a plan to pay my outstanding bill in 2 parts, but I accidentally paid it all on one go even though I have other things I need to pay for. Please tell me there is a way to cancel or undo a payment? I just need to put the amount that was discussed in my account.

Welcome tot he community!

How did you make the payment by credit card or through your bank? If you made it through your bank you can call your bank and ask them to cancel that payment. If you did it through credit card the payment gets process right away and you will not be able to cancel it.

This is incorrect information. As I have paid a bill twice on accident and my bank will not cancel the payment although Fido has not received it.

@Tabithamarlene, I never said the bank would cancel the payment; I said the OP can call and ask them to cancel it. Different banks might have different policies and relationships with their clients, hence I said call and ask.
