Cancelling Plan Abroad and Specialist Scheduling

Hi,

I have went outside of Canada and after a while, I have decided not to come back. Now I would like to cancel my service with Fido, but it seems to be impossible.

First of all, I have called the number +1 514 925 4590. Turned out, I couldn't even talk to a real person as the virtual assistance insisted that I leave a contact number for scheduling a callback session from a specialist. Problem is, I do not have access to my Canadian sim card anymore, and the system can't seem to register foreign numbers for a callback. So, right now I am stuck here, unable to cancel my plan.

People suggested I contact Fido Solutions on X, which I did, but it is not very helpful. The only thing Fido Solutions did was telling me to go chat with Jack or make a call. Jack won't allow me to talk to a specialist in chat either.

What am I supposed to do to cancel my plan? Honestly, this system Fido is running is such a massive inconvenience.

Did you manage to get anywhere with this? I have the exact same problem!

Hi @Croissants , that sounds very frustrating. Is there anyone in Canada who you trust, that could advocate for you? I'm not sure of other resources if calling in directly didn't help you. Maybe someone from @FidoSolutions could assist or point you in the right direction. Other than using one of the methods Here  , I don't know where else to suggest.

My girlfriend went to Fido shop  and asked them for me. They said I have to make a call myself.

As for FidoSolutions, they did not help me, just gave me a link to the contact page of Fido's website to me.

And right now, I have succesfully closed my bank account, and I'm really worried because I will no longer have the means to pay for the Fido plan anymore.
