Dear Customer Service Manager,

 

I'm writing to you today to complain about the very long and frustrating experience I had today, April 10th, 2025, (Time 12.45PM to 1.45PM) when I called to cancel my Fido cell phone service. The title of this complaint is "Cancellation of My Account Service - Took 1 Hour" because, unbelievably, the call took a full hour to complete.

 

This wasn't just a minor inconvenience; it caused me a significant amount of wasted time. Because the call dragged on for so long, I was actually late getting to work. This kind of delay throws off my entire day and impacts my responsibilities.

 

During the call, it became very clear to me that the agent I was speaking with was not properly trained to handle cancellation requests efficiently. The process felt disorganized and unnecessarily lengthy. It shouldn't take an hour to cancel a phone account.

 

Because of this lack of training and the resulting inefficiency, my valuable time was wasted, and I was delayed with all my daily activities. While I'm relieved that my account was eventually cancelled after this long ordeal, the process was unacceptable.

 

I believe it's important for Fido to take action to ensure that your customer service representatives are adequately trained to handle common requests like account cancellations quickly and professionally. Customers shouldn't have to spend such an excessive amount of time on a single phone call due to a lack of agent preparedness.

 

I hope you will take my complaint seriously and take steps to improve the training of your staff so that other customers don't have to experience the same level of frustration and wasted time that I did.
