Activation Fee on BYOP

Hi,

I bought a new number from the Fido kiosk at Square One several days ago, and the salesman at the time helped me subscribe to a BYOP plan and showed me on his PC screen that he was removing the $30 activation fee since I was a new customer.

Though when the bill came out, the fee was still there.  Chatted with customer service online, and they advised that I go back to the store since they don't have such a promotion.  When I went back to the store again, a different rep told me that I have to wait for a few billing cycles before that fee is waived.

Can anyone advise if this is the case?

Thanks,

-Gus

Re: Activation Fee on BYOP

Hey @Gus99

Welcome to the Community!

On our side, we don't have any promotion like that.

There is some discounts that are added after a couple of billing cycles though, it's something common.

Did they mention how many cycles?

Re: Activation Fee on BYOP

He said 3 or 4.  He asked me to report back to the store if it didn't happen.

I guess I will give it a shot and see.

Thanks,

-Gus

Stores sometimes have promos of their own we might not see here. If you need more info you can get in touch with them. They will be able to confirm the details with you. Smiley
