Internet not working

When I opened up an internet account with Fido . I was told the technician didn't have to come into my unit to activate it , because it could be done downstairs in the building . I plugged in my box today and nothing , tried calling and nobody decide...

Are the Rogers Ignite wifi extender pods compatible with the Fido modem/router so I can make a mesh wifi network with a single SSID? A friend with Rogers has an extra pod and I'd like to use it with my Fido modem/router
