Wifi modem charge

I got an email offer on Dec 16, 2022 for 50%off internet service.  The agreement is December 20,2022 to December 20, 2023 internet 50% off AND December 20, 2021 to December 20, 2022 for 50% off for modem.  Now checking the bill, I got discount for internet BUT not modem.  Why did you put old date on new offer? Is this a trick to not offer discount on modem ? Or just a typo? Can it be correct?
