Hi, so I received from Fido a Hitron CODA-4582U cable internet modem, and I read the instructions on how to set it up by myself.
I'm currently with another Internet provider (CarryTel), so should I now contact CarryTel now to cancel with them, and then set-up my Fido Hitron modem?
Or can I set up my Hitron modem right now, and then cancel with CarryTel?
I don't want a situation where I have no Internet as I work from home. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for your help & guidance. I'll set up the modem, see if I get internet, and if I do then I'll call my current provider and cancel with them.

We hear where you're coming from and we'd suggest that you first install your Fido services and then cancel. If you have a serviceable address ready for self-installation, there is no reason your services won't work. 😊
