I joined Fido internet at the beginning of the year, and have been experiencing no internet every few weeks. The unit has to be unplugged from the power. I did not have this issue with other provider.
I am wondering what the problem is? Will firmware upgrade fix it?
I have the hiltron coda 4582u running in bridge mode.

There will be a new test build that's expected later this month for the CODA with a list of fixes. When that's available, I'd recommend joining the trial to see if it helps. I'll update this thread as soon as it starts rolling out.
In the meantime, I'd suggest reaching out to our tech support so that they can troubleshoot with you.

We do have a new version of code coming down the pipes, 188.8.131.52, which we will begin testing later this month/early next month.
The fixes are mostly back end, but once we have completed our first pass over, we would love to give you an early glimpse and provide any feedback.
Over the next week we will be rolling out the next version of our SDK7 code, 184.108.40.206, to those of you on 7.1.x.x already.

My CODA-4582U is currently on version 220.127.116.11. For the past 15-20 days I have been facing an issue with one of my laptops with an Intel 7265 card. I have turned off band steering on the modem to keep 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks seperate. Sometimes the laptop can't see my 5Ghz network. I have to refresh the available networks list multiple times to get the laptop to see the network and connect to it. My other laptop with intel 7260 connects flawlessly to 5Ghz everytime. Initially I thought this could be a network interference issue becaue I am in a condominium and there are multiple networks around so, I tried changing wireless channel to manual for 5Ghz network. This worked for about a day or so but, the problem again came back. I have tried resetting the modem, updating and downgrading laptop wifi drivers and upating windows to latest version. Nothing has worked. I am positive that the issue is with my modem only because the laptop always picks up other neighbouring 5Ghz networks. Also, I have tested it with my phone's wifi hotspot in 5Ghz mode and it always connects without any issue.
The problem has started some 2 weeks ago only so I am guessing this could be the time when my modem got updated to 18.104.22.168 but I am not 100% sure. Any help in this regard would be appreciated
Is there a way to roll back to previous version. I am seeing very high DPC latency as well on ndis.sys when I am connected to 5Ghz network. This has been causing constant audio stuttering in online videos like on youtube. These problems were not there earlier. I connect to my phone's 5Ghz wifi hotspot and don't experience DPC latency issues.
