Is there a way to roll back to previous version. I am seeing very high DPC latency as well on ndis.sys when I am connected to 5Ghz network. This has been causing constant audio stuttering in online videos like on youtube. These problems were not there earlier. I connect to my phone's 5Ghz wifi hotspot and don't experience DPC latency issues.

Hey there @vikrant82

You can opt out of the trial if you choose to. Simply send us a PM @FidoSolutions with the subject line "Fido Home Internet Firmware Trial", and we'll look into it Smiley

i just got the new firmware 2.0.10.36T6 and i am trying to disable the WMM(QOS) settings but it won't allow me, is there a workaround on it or we can't do anything about it.

 thanks.

Hey @mads26!

You should be able to disable it via "Wireless > basic settings" in the modem's settings.

Is this where you're going and it doesn't work? Is it blocked out or giving an error?

If so, then we can manually do it on our end. Please reach out to tech support and they can have it done!

hi @FidoNick thanks for the reply. i tried that already but it is like grayed out and it only stays on, though there is no error message but it will just not slide to the "off" option.

Thanks for trying Smiley

You would need to contact our tech support team in this case then.

So Fido team, with all these firmware upgrades, has the issue of 2.4Ghz instability fixed? I'm asking about it because I'm struggling with 2.4Ghz instability. Despite of all the efforts to use different channels and wifi standards (802.11 g/n and even b) etc., on times the connectivity becomes unusable. While all other devices I have are on 5Ghz (and working perfectly), I'm stuck with 2.4Ghz due to my Smart TV (and can't use Ethernet due to location)

Is some internal discussion going on regarding 2.4Ghz and how to make it stable? Any new firmware in the queue?

Model details are:

CODA-4582U running 2.0.10.36T6

Its been over a year since this "trial" was released. Can we get official firmware update?

I've noticed some stability improvements since having this firmware installed. Since my spouse moved in, there has been an increase in connected devices, and the added traffic was causing some problems. It's possible that the firmware update has helped with this.

After having spent some time with the Firmware, I have noticed something particularly quirky about it, though this seems to have also been the case before getting the update.

Whenever I use my Xbox One, there seem to be intermittant service slowdowns when using other devices. Oddlye nough, some of these slowdowns only occur whenever I have the Xbox connected via Ethernet. Oddly enough, when it is connected via WiFi, such slowdowns are not present. Keep in mind that the integrity of the ethernet cable is fine; I have tried using different ports, and found that this is only really an issue with the Xbox. Other devices connected via Ethernet have not caused this issue. Any ideas?

Thanks so much for keeping us posted @mdmartini .

Should we be concerned about the VPNfilter malware affecting our CGN3AMF router?

what can we do to prevent the malware?

Hey @athel10

Welcome to the Community Smiley

I'm not sure what you're referring to here, would it be possible to give us more info? Is that information you got through your VPN provider?

Also, are you using an additional router with the Hitron CGN3AMF Fido Wi-Fi Modem?

Let me know!

This malware infect a lot of routers. I am not sure if CGN3AMF is affected or anything we should do.

Thanks.

Hey @athel10,

VPNFilter primarily infects by taking advantage of known generic default credentials.

The default password used by the AMF is specific to our gateways and the Easy Connect flow then forces this password to become unique to the device so the AMF is not exposed to this vulnerability.

Hope this helps Smiley

My modem was updated with the 4.5.8.38T5 firmware yesteday midnight. From the log, it showed the firmware started to download at 11:51pm. It took about 8 minutes and then rebooted at midnight. I lost internet connection for about 3-4 minutes and that's it. So far so good. Thank you.

Cheers
