Hitron CGN Series
There are periodic drops of the connection when streaming video. The auto-recover (restart) function is consistent and the modem comes back up. This autorecover takes longer than a powwer restart (remove the power). This is with the Hitron in router mode (non-bridge). Basically, there seem to be stability issues when there is a constant stream of data as opposed to occasional bursts (browsing).
Also, when in bridge mode, the factory reset (pushing the inset button) does not work properly. I had to call tech support for the factory reset and change to non-bridge mode. This could have been a one-off, but i also attempted a 30/30/30 reset to no avail.

As part of this ongoing improvement I want to let everyone know that I have new firmware for CODA (126.96.36.199T5) and AMF (188.8.131.52T4) devices
We will be updating the notes at the top of the forum shortly.
In the meantime I will be working to roll out the new firmware to everyone over the next few days.

Haven been able to access the internet consistently since the new update on March 28th. The service would come and go randomly. Notably, the light for the icons (Power, Download, Upload, 2.4ghz, 5ghz, Ethernet) are all on even when the service is down.
EDIT: I have an old router that I use as an access point for a few months now. I unplugged it and the internet worked again. Could it be a bug in the new firmware update?
Can you provide some additional info on the old router you have? It is possible that there is an interoperability issue between the two devices but will need more info before we can confirm that is the issue.
I'm gad to be able to be part of the trial.
My modem did not loose the 5g connection since almost 2 days now. Before, I was loosing connection and had to reboot my modem 2 or 3 times per day. As a new customer, I was ready to leave Fido... Then I heard about the trial and gave it a try...
I will continue to monitor my connection closely, but for now, everything is working fine... Everyone should benefit of this firmware update!
I've also been waiting passed the 7 business days. I've had my modem power-cycled or just turned off for a bit during those days so I'm thinking maybe I missed the firmware push?

how much longer before we would expect the firmware update to be deployed? i m still seeing 184.108.40.206 on my Hitron CGN3AMF . it would reboot or lost connection by itself at least 2-3 times per day in gateway mode. if it is in bridge mode, it would required manual reboot every hour or 30 mins to get the ethernet port alive, which resulting in a very unusable internet experience.
also, knowing this is known issue, any plan to have a default firmware update as opposed to per individual request which is not very efficient.
received updated firmware 220.127.116.11, running modem in bridge mode (gateway function disable) consistently for 2 days without issue, will continue to monitor and provide feedback.
some addtional observation over few weeks of service, when the modem was in gateway mode, it does slow down when it is handling lots of tcp sessions. however, there is no easy way to confirm as it does not have a view to show cpu/mem utilization? would the capability of showing modem hardware performance metrics be availbale in the gui in the future release?
Thank you for the feedback on the firmware, both on the performance and recommendation for future functionality; although there is currently no plan to expose this info to customers I will take it under advisement when reviewing future functionality.
I will have this reviewed both internally and by the vendor to see if we can replicate your experience and may reach out for more information if required.

I still have the 18.104.22.168 firmware version.
