If you’re experiencing a problem with apps crashing on an Android device as of March 23, 2021, follow these steps to fix the issue.

First, try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
  2. In the Google Play Store app, search for the Android System WebView app and tap it (do not select the Beta, Dev, or Canary versions).
  3. Tap Update.
    • If there’s no Update option, skip this step.
  1. In the Google Play Store app, search for the Google Chrome app and tap it.
  2. Tap Update.

Steps above not working? Try these steps:

  1. On your phone, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Apps (May also be called Apps & notifications)
  4. Tap Google Play Store.
  5. Tap Storage. (May also be called Storage & Cache)
  6. Tap Clear Data. This will clear some of your Play Store settings, including parental controls and auto-update preferences.
  7. In the Google Play Store app, search for the Android System WebView app and tap it (do not select the Beta version).

Once you’ve completed these steps your apps should no longer crash.
